Notre Dame Fighting Irish Lou Holtz Legacy 1988 Season Navy T-Shirt
Some seasons stay with fans long after the final whistle, and the 1988 campaign under Lou Holtz is one of those chapters in Notre Dame football history. This navy t-shirt brings that legacy into everyday wear with a design that speaks to longtime supporters, alumni, and anyone who follows the Fighting Irish. The navy colorway keeps the look grounded and easy to style, while the Lou Holtz Legacy 1988 Season theme gives it a sense of history. Whether you are heading to a game-day gathering, running errands, or adding to a growing fan apparel collection, this shirt offers a comfortable, casual way to keep the era close at hand.
Product Overview
The shirt is built around a classic collegiate aesthetic. Navy serves as a versatile base that works with denim, khakis, joggers, and shorts, so it fits naturally into a regular rotation of casual outfits. The Lou Holtz Legacy 1988 Season theme gives the design a nostalgic, commemorative feel without becoming busy. It is the kind of piece that can be worn on its own during warmer months or layered under a hoodie, flannel, or light jacket when the weather cools. As part of a custom shirt lineup, it also works well as a gift for Notre Dame graduates, family members who follow the team, or friends who appreciate football history and vintage-inspired fan gear.

Design & Style
Visually, this tee leans into a traditional team look rather than a loud, trend-driven one. The navy backdrop gives the Lou Holtz Legacy 1988 Season design room to stand out while keeping the overall feel understated. That balance makes it simple to dress up or down: pair it with jeans and sneakers for a relaxed weekend outfit, wear it with shorts for summer tailgates, or layer it beneath an open button-down for a casual, put-together look. The Fighting Irish theme gives it a clear identity, while the navy tone keeps it flexible enough for everyday wear. It also sits comfortably in a fan apparel collection alongside other Notre Dame pieces, and the custom shirt category makes it an easy choice for gift-giving occasions such as birthdays, graduations, or holidays.

The artwork is beautiful! I was a little nervous about ordering a item online but it arrived safely and looks fantastic.
I normally wear a large and ordered large. Fits exactly right, not too tight and not too baggy.
Really cute design and I wanted to love it, but the print placement seems slightly off center on mine. Not super noticeable unless you’re looking closely.
Ordered this as a random surprise for my husband and apparently I picked well because he’s worn it like 4 times already ??
Smaller than I pictured in my head but that’s on me for not checking the measurements ?? Still really cute though.
