First Chicano Governor Of Califas Xavier Becerra Poster
Some wall pieces decorate a room; others say something. This poster falls firmly in the second category. Built around the historic theme of Xavier Becerra as the first Chicano governor of Califas, it pairs a portrait with bold lettering that carries a strong sense of California identity and Chicano pride. The design is direct and confident, made for people who want their space to reflect their history, their politics, and their roots. Whether you follow California politics closely or simply appreciate art that marks a milestone, this poster gives you a way to put that moment on display at home, at work, or in a community setting.
Product Overview
The First Chicano Governor Of Califas Xavier Becerra Poster is a graphic wall piece with a clear message. The layout centers on a portrait of Xavier Becerra, supported by prominent text that names the milestone and references Califas, giving the design a distinctly Californian and Chicano character. Rather than relying on heavy ornament, the poster uses typography and imagery to do the talking, which keeps it readable and striking from a distance.
That makes it a natural fit for a home office, study, living room, dorm, classroom, or community center. It can stand alone as a single statement piece or join a gallery wall of art, photography, and cultural prints. As part of the PosterCustom category, it is a straightforward way to add a personal, culturally grounded piece to your walls, and at $28.00 it works as a gift for history buffs, political followers, and anyone with ties to California and Chicano culture.

Design & Style
The visual appeal here comes from restraint and clarity. A portrait anchors the composition, while the surrounding text gives the poster its voice. The word Califas adds a cultural layer that resonates with Chicano audiences and Californians who connect with the term, so the piece feels specific rather than generic. The overall look is graphic and text-forward, which means it holds up well in both modern, minimalist rooms and warmer, more eclectic spaces filled with art and personal objects.
Styling is flexible. A simple black or wood frame sharpens the look for an office or hallway, while pinning or taping it directly to the wall keeps things casual and poster-like in a dorm or studio. It can sit above a desk, beside a bookshelf, or at the center of a small gallery arrangement. Because the message is the focus, it pairs easily with quieter pieces around it and still draws attention. Think of it as a piece that starts conversations about California history, representation, and culture without needing to explain itself.

Care & Use
A few simple habits keep a printed poster looking its best. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth instead of harsh cleaners. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp areas to help preserve the printed look over time. Framing or mounting the poster protects the edges and keeps it flat against the wall. If the item comes with a care label or packaging guidance, follow those instructions as well.

The artwork is beautiful! I was a little nervous about ordering a item online but it arrived safely and looks fantastic.
I normally wear a large and ordered large. Fits exactly right, not too tight and not too baggy.
Really cute design and I wanted to love it, but the print placement seems slightly off center on mine. Not super noticeable unless you’re looking closely.
Ordered this as a random surprise for my husband and apparently I picked well because he’s worn it like 4 times already ??
Smaller than I pictured in my head but that’s on me for not checking the measurements ?? Still really cute though.
