Some college football seasons stay with fans for decades, and Notre Dame’s 1988 national championship run under Lou Holtz is one of them. This navy blue hoodie brings that era back into everyday wear with team-inspired graphics set against a deep, classic backdrop. It is made for the fan who remembers the Holtz years, follows the Irish through every season, or simply appreciates vintage-style college football apparel. Pull it on for game day, a campus trip, or a relaxed weekend, and let the championship theme do the talking.
Product Overview
The hoodie pairs a navy blue body with Notre Dame Fighting Irish graphics and references to the 1988 national championship season. The dark base color keeps the lettering and design elements easy to read, giving the piece a look that feels rooted in college sports rather than fast-moving trends. As fan apparel, it sits comfortably between game-day gear and casual everyday clothing, so it can move from a watch party to a grocery run without feeling out of place. It also works as a gift for Notre Dame supporters, alumni, or anyone who collects championship-season pieces, and the hoodie format makes it a practical layer for cooler weather throughout the football calendar.

Design & Style
The design leans on contrast: a navy blue background that lets the Notre Dame graphics and championship references stand out clearly. Team lettering and 1988 national championship details give the hoodie a nostalgic college football character, while the hoodie silhouette keeps the overall look casual and sporty. Styling is straightforward. Wear it with jeans and sneakers for a relaxed everyday outfit, layer it over a tee on cooler afternoons, or pair it with joggers for a comfortable game-day setup at home. Because the color scheme is understated, the hoodie works with a wide range of casual pieces and fits easily into a fan’s existing wardrobe. It also suits themed events, alumni gatherings, and casual Fridays where team spirit is welcome. For collectors of Notre Dame apparel, the Lou Holtz championship connection gives this piece a specific story that sets it apart from generic fan gear.

The artwork is beautiful! I was a little nervous about ordering a item online but it arrived safely and looks fantastic.
I normally wear a large and ordered large. Fits exactly right, not too tight and not too baggy.
Really cute design and I wanted to love it, but the print placement seems slightly off center on mine. Not super noticeable unless you’re looking closely.
Ordered this as a random surprise for my husband and apparently I picked well because he’s worn it like 4 times already ??
Smaller than I pictured in my head but that’s on me for not checking the measurements ?? Still really cute though.
